BOV Valletta Boat Show 2013

The BOV Valletta Boat Show 2013 returns to the Grand Harbour between September 26-29, creating a nautical paradise in the heart of Cottonera.

The seventh edition of the popular annual event is being held at Boiler Wharf, Senglea for the second year running. In the majestic environs of the Grand Harbour, boats and yachting enthusiasts will be offered a unique opportunity to see some of the biggest and best names in the industry exhibiting their wares: everything from the latest in powerboats, sailboats and engines to cutting-edge marine electronics and accessories, the best in nautical gifts, services and apparel.

Whether it’s comparing brands or checking out the latest developments, there’s something for everyone. This year, the organisers have put in more work than ever before into creating a fun day out for the whole family. A water shuttle service will be in operation throughout the event, ferrying people from the Valletta Waterfront right to Boiler Wharf, offering a unique and convenient way to get to the iconic venue.

Once there, children can take advantage of taster yachting sessions, with two small yachts available to take them around the harbour area. Parents and people of all ages, meanwhile, can get a taste for scuba diving in the large tank being set up on location – simply slap on a wetsuit and give it a go.

Among the many exhibits and attractions, visitors will also be able to witness a display by the makers of Flyboard, a spectacular water jet-pack. Elsewhere, the Armed Forces of Malta will be making one of their active search and rescue vessels available for access by the general public. Also, a research submarine – which counts among its recent visitors the Russian President Vladimir Putin – will also be on display for Boat Show visitors to enjoy as part of their experience.

The BOV Valletta Boat Show 2013 will be open to the public at the following times:

Thursday 26 from 6pm till 11pm
Friday 27 from 6pm till 11pm
Saturday 28 from 10am till 1pm and from 5pm till 11pm
